Pisa

According to a legend Pisa was founded by some Trojan refugees from the Greek city of Pisa, in the Peloponnese.

Among the most important monuments of the city there are the famous Piazza del Duomo, known as Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the Cathedral in Romanesque style.

In the square stands the characteristic leaning tower, tower of the twelfth century, which acquired its characteristic tilt ten years after the start of its construction, and now it’s one of the most famous Italian monuments in the world.
